Dr. K.S Chahal
Dr. Chahal is the Interim CEO and the Chief Scientist at Concha Technologies. His
extensive experience in the fields of medicine and medical-device development has led to the discovery of cutting edge technologies involved in non-invasive
neuromodulation. In addition, he has a deep interest in the mind-body interplay and
what makes life worthwhile, a major contributor in experiencing happiness.
He is an alumnus of the Johns Hopkins University and served as the Chairman of
the Division of Cardiopulmonary Medicine at the Northwest Hospital Center for over
a decade. He is the co-founder of the Alpine Center for High Altitude Research where his research contributed in developing a deeper understanding of mechanisms that lead to development of HPE (High-altitude Pulmonary Edema)
and Cerebral Edema. These discoveries have played a pivotal role in developing
treatments of several common human maladies.
Previously, he has served as an Advisor to the Chairman of the Insurance
Regulatory and Development Authority of India; Senior Consultant at Immunicon
Inc. Philadelphia, PA; Consultant at Silome Biotechnology in Cincinnati, OH; and as
the chief executive at Indigene LifeScience Technologies.
Mr. Sukhwinder Kumar
Mr. Kumar serves as Adjunct Technology Officer at Concha Technologies. He holds a
degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and over 18 years of experience in the realms of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Embedded Systems Development and Industrial Automation.
Prior to his current role at Concha Technologies, he has served as the Managing Director at the Concha’s India-based sister company, Bezzie Technologies Private Limited. In that role, he was instrumental in the entire Research & Development cycle of Concha’s proprietary technology and devices.
Over the past decade, Mr. Kumar has been a pivotal force in the design and realization of over a hundred healthcare and consumer electronic products. His innovative designs have not only been recognized with patents but have also enjoyed commercial success. Previously, he spent 5 years at the Central Scientific Instruments Organization of the
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIO-CSIR) in the Department of Bio-
Medical Engineering.
His track record of delivering impactful and marketable products speaks volumes about
his commitment to excellence and his profound understanding of market needs and
technological advancements.
Dr. Ajit S. Mann
Dr. Mann is the Director of Clinical Research. He is an Alumnus of the Claremont
Graduate University and has the unique distinction of holding a Bachelor’s Degree
in Electronic Engineering, and a PhD in Psychology. This unique educational
background has made him an indispensable member of the company’s efforts to
identify practical applications of Concha’s benchmark technology as it relates to the
human emotional and behavioral manifestations of life stresses.
He has spent eight years in studying Positive Psychology, the “scientific study of
what makes life most worthwhile". His work has focused on the study of human
thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, focusing on the strong aspects instead of the
weak aspects, building on the good in life instead of correcting the bad, and shifting
the lives of average people to great and fulfilled ones. His research focuses on
positive life events and influences, such as happiness, joy, inspiration, love,
gratitude, resilience compassion, and application of positive principles throughout
organizations and institutions.
Previously, he has served as an Instructor at the UCLA and Lecturer at Claremont
Graduate University in California
He is involved with outreach to preclinical researchers and healthcare professionals
around the globe. In that capacity he coordinates their research objectives and
assists in providing access to the company’s database and technology. His
extensive experience in Good Clinical Research Practices and universally accepted
research methods makes him an excellent resource for research scientists.
Tanima Majhail
Tanima Majhail holds a Masters in Psychology and has been a dedicated
professional in the field of career counseling for nearly a decade. Her observation of
extremely high stress levels in the high school children in India piqued her interest
in studying the subject and finding solutions to this pervasive problem. She has
been actively involved in research on the effects of Vagus Nerve Stimulation on
Academic Learning and Memory with Dr. K. S. Chahal.
She has conducted over 100 workshops for parents, students, and teachers. These
coveted workshops have covered education, life skills, stress management, career
paths, and post-education employment potentials based on evolving business and
technological trends. She is passionate about issues relating to early childhood
development and the impact of maternal education and maternal stress on fetal and
infant brain growth and the child’s academic performance.
In her free time, she loves to travel and learn about other cultures. Her naturally
outgoing personality has allowed her to develop a wide network of people from
diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Urvashi Chauhan
Miss. Chauhan holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology and is scheduled to complete
her PhD in fall 2024. Operating from India, she is actively involved in ongoing
research in Concha’s neuromodulation system. She works closely with the US
based Director of Clinical Research in survey development, data collection, data-
cleaning & management, data analysis and database development.
Previously, she had worked as a Research Assistant at Bezzie Technologies Pvt.
Limited, While at Bezzie, she was responsible for conducting and monitoring
psychometric changes with the company’s non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation
device during its early clinical testing in India.
Besides being a scholar and a researcher, Urvashi has interest in Contemporary
and Folk dance and participated in numerous competitions at the college and
university level. She is tri-lingual with excellent command of English, Hindi and
Sanskrit.
